HEADTEACHER, full-time required from September 2022

Contract term: Permanent        

Teaching commitment: 3 days (reviewable in the context of pupil numbers and budget)

Salary: Group 1, L6 to L13 ( £47,735 - £56,721 ) (potential for higher salary dependent on qualifications and experience, subject to negotiation)

Selattyn Church of England School takes pride in being a small, special, successful family with an overriding caring Christian ethos.  Set in the attractive rural Shropshire village of Selattyn, we are looking to recruit a motivational teaching head for September 2022 who would thrive and enjoy leadership and teaching in our unique context.

The governors, staff and children are looking to appoint an enthusiastic headteacher to develop and build on the success of our school by:

  • ensuring all pupils are treated as individuals and are inspired in learning, whatever their needs, to fulfil potential including those with special educational needs 

  • delivering overall strategic leadership in line with the aims and objectives of the school with a clear vision for outstanding primary education

  • being an excellent classroom practitioner able to model outstanding teaching skills

  • being committed to nurturing Christian values and the Christian character of a Church of England School 

  • having the ability to inspire and work collaboratively to ensure best outcomes for children and staff 

  • building on and enhancing links with local community and wider area

The school was rated “Good” by Ofsted in November 2019 and rated “Outstanding by SIAMS in April 2016.

 

We actively encourage visits to the school so that applicants can achieve a real sense of what makes our school unique and special.  Visits can be arranged on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons 1:30pm – 3:00pm and Fridays after school 3:45pm – 5:00pm.  To arrange a visit please call our administrator Janet Bennett on 01691 659744.
